About Viking Boat

Viking Boat Racing is North America’s newest and most fun water sport.  And it's easy - if you can ride a bike, you can be a Viking boat rower!  These wide and stable boats don’t tip over, they allow you to just sit and row fit!

The Viking Boat has been around since the 8th century.  The sport of rowing has been around since the 1800’s.  Bringing the boat and the sport together allows for the delivery of rowing in a new, easy, safe and fun way.  Now anyone to learn how to row (at a lower cost) and if they choose, they can easily transition to a touring quad (4-man boat) and then to olympic-style racing shells or continue to enjoy the Viking Boat experience. 

Proceeds from the 3rd Annual VikingFest go to support Bayside Rowing Club and its inner-city kids' rowing programs. Pledges from participants will go to the Viking Boat Foundation.
